For family days out, team days or even a romantic cruise for 2, you can hire the barge exclusively any day of the week. For special occasions catering is available on-board or you can enjoy a meal in one of the waterfront restaurants in Sallins.
This is a fantastic activity for birthday parties, family days out and corporate entertaining. There is no minimum number of passengers and the maximum is 12.

The Grand Canal in Co. Kildare flows across rolling countryside and rich farmland as it passes through 200 year old canal locks, bridges and aqueducts. You can choose to do either the Leinster Aqueduct or Digby Lock cruises, or take an extended bargetrip for a half-day canal cruise. A barge trip is fun for all ages. Small children will be given a lifejacket on boarding and children must be supervised at all times by a parent/guardian.

MV Amo is a restored traditional canal barge and is licensed by the Department of Transport and Tourism for 12 passengers. There are outdoor seats on the open decks at the bow and stern and it has a very comfortable interior with ample seating, toilet facilities, wood burning stove and a bar severing a selection of local craft beers and wines. Scheduled Cruises operate from March to October and advance booking is essential.
