I booked a Barge trip as an early birthday gift for my husband & to say he was happy would be an understatement, from the moment we arrived at the meeting point , we were greeted by Chris our guide , he was extremely friendly & professional, he guided us through the canals & gave us so much History on not only canal life but flora & fauna too . He took lots of photos for us which was great . Overall we would highly recommend Bargetrips.ie & can’t wait to cruise again . Thanks again Chris .

Had a fantastic trip with Barge Trips. We went over to the Leinster Aqueduct and heard about the history along the way as well as enjoyed the peaceful scenery. Totally recommend 👌 you can even enjoy refreshments on board 👍

A really lovely activity for all ages. Im sorry we didnt book a longer cruise but we will be back and next time we definitely will. The team were informative and friendly and we learned lots about the history of the canal and saw lots of wildlife.

Highly recommend this tour. Knowledgeable and witty guide. Waiter grew up on a barge and had wonderful stories also. My parents, both 88yo, thoroughly enjoyed it and had no problems getting on/off barge despite my mother needing some support walking. I plan to go again with any visitors to Kildare.

A wonderfully relaxed and peaceful Sunday morning spent cruising down the canal to Digby Lock. We were a party of four (two adults and two teenage girls) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The girls especially loved seeing the lock being filled and then drained as part of our journey. We also enjoyed spotting the local wildlife along the way. A lovely, tranquil trip that we’d happily recommend!
